I have been watching a lot of Netflix recently. It has been getting my through a hectic couple of months by offering me some much needed downtime for a quick binge.
I have been enjoying watching a real mix of stuff too, a lot of the Netflix original series, some new films, and a few of the good old classics that never get boring. When I have felt like a good cry its been PS I love you, and Me before you. When I’ve just wanted to escape in some easy watching its been Mama Mia or re-runs of Gilmore Girls. There is so much on offer to watch, I love the idea of being able to get away with a day in bed just watching Netflix and eating chocolate. A girl can dream.
When Netflix wrote to me as part of their Stream Team and told me about Pizza Party day I knew I wanted to be involved. We are a pizza loving family. So last weekend we went off to Sainsburys to buy the ingredients, and enjoyed a cosy evening in on the sofa.
Our Netflix Pizza Party
First job was to make the pizzas. The children were keen to make them themselves, so I helped out by preparing everything into bowls. We used ready made bases, because after a busy day I wanted to keep things simple.
They loved spreading the base on, sprinkling the cheese and piling high with other ingredients.
Our toppings were:
- Lots of cheese
If you ever ask my children what they want for tea it will be either pizza or meatballs so we combined the two.
After I had checked that the pizzas were well topped, they went into the oven. Then we had a mad dash to get into our clean PJ’s and load Netflix ready to relax.
To tie in with out Meatball pizza we chose the film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. One we haven’t watched before. All three children watched it and loved it, and me and James enjoyed it too.
To top off a fab film our pizzas were delicious, and I am sure we will be making them again.
What pizza would you choose for a Netflix pizza party?
